****THANK YOU****
OLDIES 101 FM and KALSEE Credit
Union for an awesome promotion of KAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In August 2007 the children of Portage United Methodist Church donated $301 for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, all the money being raised by a car wash. In appreciation of their efforts to help homeless animals in their community, Honey, a dog rescued by Kalamazoo Animal Rescue and fostered within the organization, visited them at their school so they could see what their money can do. Honey was very, very sick when she was rescued and it took 4 months to get her healthy and ready to be adopted. In spite of her health problems she has always been a sweet and gentle dog. The children were all able to meet Honey, pet her and have their questions answered. Everyone was very excited. Honey loved the attention and rolled over for many belly rubs from the kids. The children shared stories about their own animals. They also collected food, office supplies, and toys for KAR cats and dogs. Since meeting all the kids, Honey has been adopted into a wonderful home where she will always be a treasured member of a family. Thank you everyone at Portage United Methodist Church!
