Special NeedsWyatt is a Special Needs pet with FIV positive

This loving boy was a stray until some time ago when a KAR volunteer found him and took him in. Now he's in the Rescue getting love and attention but he really wants a forever home of his own.

Wyatt is playful, yet older, so not crazy-playful like a kitten. He likes to curl up and nap, have you pet and brush him, let him give you head bumps, and just cuddle and be with you.  He's ok being with you and he's ok finding his own spot for a bit too, as long as you love him and let him love you back.

Wyatt has a feline condition call Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is mainly passed from cat to cat through deep bite wounds, the kind that usually occur outdoors during aggressive fights and territorial disputes—the perfect reason to keep your cat inside. FIV does not seem to be commonly spread through sharing food bowls and litter boxes, social grooming, sneezing and other casual modes of contact. In fact, Wyatt has been living freely in his foster home with 3 other cats sharing food and water.

The only special care Wyatt will need is a healthy diet and a trip to the vet as soon as you suspect illness since his immune system won't be able to fight off commons things as easily as a cat without FIV.

Please come meet Wyatt and spend some time with him. His easy-going demeanor will relax you instantly.

Gail M was his foster parent.
