Hello, I'm Polkadot! The kind people at Kalamazoo Animal Rescue brought me into a foster home so I have a place to live after my elderly caretaker moved to a nursing home. Let me tell you about myself.

My perfect home will have a porch, sunroom, fenced yard, out building or kitty run where I will have safe access to the outdoors. In my previous life I lived inside a house with three other cats but they were chasing and terrorizing me so my owner put me outside. It wasn't a great situation since I lived underneath her wood deck for shelter but she thought it was in my best interest to be away from the bully cats. And she made sure that I had food and water and did her best to care for me.

I adapted and survived. And despite not looking athletic I have amazingly fast reflexes and can catch toys in mid-air. If I could only be allowed to catch real mice and critters, I would be so awesome at it!

In my foster home, I spend most of my time on top of the kitty condo where I keep watch over everything that goes on outside. I find the strictly indoors environment boring so I look out the window and long for the days when I can step outdoors again.

I'm friendly towards people but am also independent and don't need a lot of attention. So if you're looking for a cat but don't have a lot of time to spend with me, that's okay. If you need help with mousing or have a safe barn where I'll be safe and warm, that would be pretty cool, too.

If you'd like more information about me, please submit an online adoption application and a volunteer will contact you.

Nancy D was her foster parent.
