Meet Blitz

Hi I'm Blitz. 

I'm a naturally playful, curious, and energetic canine. I think everything is fun, interesting and meant for play, especially you. Anything you do, I’ll want to do too. You're working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I'll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I'll just plop in your lap so you can pet me. I'll help you with all your chores, and I'll help you relax when we're done. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.

I've been told that I am intelligent, independent, and clever. I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. I expect us to be partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we’ll both live happily ever after.

I really like meeting and playing with other dogs. I have another small dog that I live with at my foster home and we have lots of fun together. Also I've made some big dog friends and it is great to spend time with them too. There are three cats that live in my foster home but only one of them will play with me, but she is the greatest at playing chase and she loves catching me.

Blitz was relinquished by his former owners because they could no longer care for him. He will do best in a home with another dog for him to play with. He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, housebroken, and crate trained. However, he lacks some basic obedience training so attending a puppy class would be in his best interest.

Blitz will require a home with a fenced in yard. Please note that no exceptions will be made on this request, Blitz tends to wander away from his people and will avoid being caught so it is imperative that he have his own secure fenced yard to get exercise.

Additionally, due to his small stature and independent nature, Blitz would be best suited for a family with no children, or children over five.
