Meet Ginger,
She's a super sweet, loving one and a half year old girl.  Ginger is a mixed breed and weighs in at just under 40 pounds. Her size is deceiving in pictures; she has a lab shaped body, but smaller.

Ginger was brought to us through one of our partnered rescues and saved from a hoarding situation down south.  She traveled over 12 hours to come live with me while she awaits her forever home.  She is living in a foster home with other dogs, both big and small, and teenagers she adores being spoiled by.

Ginger has a fairly mellow disposition most of the time. Her energy level is low to medium; she does have bursts of energy at times, usually first thing in the morning as she is well rested and ready to meet the day! She enjoys going for walks and a 20-30 minute walk seems to suit her needs most days. Ginger is crate trained.

Ginger can be a little quirky about some things as her past has not given her great social skills, but she is learning quickly and doing great. She is friendly yet timid when meeting new people. She warms up to women faster than men, and she will need a home that can give her some time to adjust to their household as she's a bit shy and scared in new places.

Ginger would do best in a home that doesn't have children under 8 years old there full time.  Visiting children and neighborhood children should not be an issue.  She wouldn't purposely harm a child, in fact she loves my teenagers, but some of her social skills are a work in progress and weird noises startle her at times.

Ginger really just wants love and companionship.  She would also be a great dog to attend an obedience class with, she is food motivated and an eager learner.

If you think you can offer Ginger the home she's patiently waiting for, apply today to meet her or learn more.

Shawn P was her foster parent.
