Meet Ana

Meet Ana, A very sweet 45 pound beagle lab mix who recently had a litter of puppies. Ana came to us very pregnant from the local county shelter in need of refuge and a safe place to have her babies. Now that the puppies are grown enough to be on their own, Ana is looking for a place to call home herself. Ana loves car rides, is good for a bath and other grooming and loves to chase balls. She goes absolutely nutty over reflective light, like laser pointers. She is well behaved in a home and doesn't get into stuff she shouldn't. She is housebroken. Ana is playful but can also be a great companion and likes to snuggle or just be near you as you go about your day. Ana is very loving and affectionate towards her people, she can be a bit protective, sounding out a bark when strangers approach her home. She will do best as the only pet in her new home. She would love to have a fenced yard, she likes to do a quick patrol of the perimeter, then finds a place to lay down and enjoy the day. She can also easily be convinced to play fetch or watch you garden. Ana has been through a full spectrum of hormonal shifts recently, she would prefer to have a home where someone is home more often than not. We have found she does best when crated if she will be left alone, so living with people who are around or want a car sidekick would be preferred.
