Pictures of Success - Page 2

Dora (below) was rescued from Kalamazoo Animal Services before she could be euthanized. She now lives at a beautiful home in the country with a huge fenced in yard plus a barn.  Her Mom is a nurse at a local nursing home and Dora will be a regular visitor there as she is so cute and eats up any and all loving she gets.  The mutual grins show that this was a match made in heaven!!!!!

"I was inspired by your "successes" page to send you pictures of my kids. Both my cats were adopted from the KAR. Winkie was adopted in 2003, and Bella (formally known as Ingrid) was adopted in 2004. As you can see they are very spoiled and very happy cats. Winkie has blossomed from a "quiet girl" into the spokesperson of the house. She lets me know what's going on, when it's time for dinner (like I don't know), when the dog wants to go out, etc. Bella is my quiet girl. She is very sweet and very well behaved, except when she is hassling Winkie. They make a perfect pair and  I couldn't imagine my life without either of them. Winkie loves the dog and you can often find them lying together. Bella loves our house rabbit. The bunny constantly teases Bella and Bella swats back but always very gently - it's the cutest thing. I just wanted to let you know, and thank you for bringing such sweethearts into my life."

"I am writing you to tell you how well Sparky (below) is doing. He take him on many walks every day and he has opened up to us. He likes to bury his chew bone under the blankets. Sparky is already in love with our couch and he loves to sleep there. The people at Pet Plus love him and our friend Heather thinks he is soo sweet. This coming week we are taking him Saginaw with us and the family there are excited to see him. We are really enjoying Sparky as part of our family."

"We are the proud family of Libby, adopted from Kalamazoo Animal Rescue on June 11, 2005.  Libby is 14 weeks old and is Sharpei and Shepherd mix.  She is the sweetest little thing.  Jenna and I drove all the way to Otsego to pick her up. She grew on us the first moment we saw her."

"We are the proud new parents of Brody (formally known as Bear), adopted from Kalamazoo Animal Rescue on June 30, 2005.  Brody is now 13 weeks old and is a lab mix of something.  His mother died shortly after he was born.  He along with his eleven other siblings were bottle feed until they were old enough to eat on their own.  Soon after, Brody went to go live with Katie and Brian Meyers.  They did a great job with him, he was nearly potty trained, loved his kennel, and was very well socialized with people and other animals before we got him.  As you can see in the pictures Brody is a very happy and loved puppy.  We are so happy to have him as part of our family.  Thanks Animal Rescue!  P.S. Brody still gets to spend time with his sister Bella, as she was adopted by our friends.  They love it!"

"Hi there..I wanted to send a few pictures and let you know how Riley is doing.  He loved his first pontoon boat ride, but wasn't too happy when he had to jump out and get his feet wet.  He loves riding in the golf cart and going for walks.  He plays Frisbee in the yard with the kids and plays with a giant ball.  He's learning that "playing catch" means you have to give it back.  He's such a sweet puppy and he's exactly what my kids needed.  He's put a smile on my son's face every day.  He loves every person that talks to him or pets him and he runs to greet anyone who comes in the door.  I can't believe how lucky we are to have him."

"We welcomed Bella into our family in June.  She was one of the 12 Lab mix puppies brought to the KAR shortly after their mother died.  We LOVE Bella very much and she has become our "baby".  She loves to play with anything that she can get her paws on and really loves to play with her brother "Brody" or any other dog that comes over.   We have been training Bella in puppy classes which she really enjoys and she loves to show us how she can sit, lay and leave things alone when told to.  We couldn't imagine our lives without her now, as we have formed a bond that will last a lifetime. Thanks Animal Rescue! "
