I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how Pee Wee (below) is doing. He is the happiest little dog ever! He sleeps with me every night, he is soooo spoiled by myself and my mom. He goes out side perfectly, and he gives the best kisses! He barks maybe one bark a week (only when he gets really playful and excited) and he looooves his pet monkey (we got him a stuffed monkey and he loves it). He is such a good dog, I can't imagine life without him!!! He loves to sit on my lap when I am on the computer too.

When we met C.C. (below) I we knew that she was the cat for us just by how she interacted with us and her cute paws that made us like her so much. It didn't hurt that Michael was not having an allergic reaction either and he said let's get her . She likes to have her back and stomach rubbed also her head too she is so cute when she gets her back rubbed she falls over and asks to rub her tummy too. She likes to get up in our bed and head-butts our hands so that we will wake up and feed her. At 4 am in the morning though. It is a great gift to have her in our lives.

I thought I'd send an update on Nala (below). She's a little over 6 months old now and is a very friendly, happy puppy. She loves to go camping and for walks up by the lake at the state park, although despite her webbed feet, she doesn't like to go into the lake! She enjoys rides in the car (and has her own dog seatbelt) and going for visits to my parents house and over to my aunt's house so she can play with her friend Bear, a lab/boxer mix, and to Petsmart. I just started working at a nursing home and she went for her first visit yesterday and the residents adored her! I'm hoping that when she is fully trained I will be able to bring her to work with me for pet therapy now and then. She starts school at the Kalamazoo Dog Training Club next month but already knows "sit" and "stay" and "come here"! She's such a lovable dog and I'm so glad I got the chance to adopt her!

Atticus Finch Hart III (below) was adopted through Kalamazoo Animal Rescue in July 2003. Atti, as he is affectionately called, is living the high life! He is Tonkinese (Siamese/Burmese), has the most beautiful blue eyes, markings, and a personality that is both funny and intelligent. In fact, tested, Atticus had the highest CAT score ever recorded! Atti's favorite charity, along with Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, is Senior Services annual pet food drive (Paws With a Cause). He is the honorary chair of Lanark Court (where he resides), and has collected food and donations for the past two years. About six months ago, Atti "told" me he was lonely. He now has a beautiful mate, Sophya Asinloren; Soph is an eight-month-old Siamese, who -- at times -- makes Atti wish he was an only kitlet! Love 'em both -- and encourage anyone reading this to go directly to the Adopt-A-Pet at the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.

April 2006 update - Babe is a seven-year old Boston Terrier who was rescued through Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. She is loved by her new family and enjoying the good life. Atticus is in the SUV stroller, looking in at Babe, who looks like she is blowing a kiss. Aren't they a hoot?

Here are some pics of Ducky (below) in his new home and with his new best friend! His family writes " The camping trip was so fun. She did really, really well. All the kids took turns walking her and spoiling her. I don't think she even noticed being on a leash because she always follows us everywhere anyway. My relatives could not believe what a great dog she is. They know how much our kids have wanted a dog for several years and how we waited until we felt the boys could handle it...they just said that we must have been waiting for Ducky to become available and she must have been waiting for us!"

"I just wanted to drop you a few lines and let you know how Oscar (below) is doing. He's doing FABULOUS! Pepper and Oscar are getting along great. Oscar has made himself right at home. Both Oscar and Pepper sleep with me every night. Oscar loves Pepper's toys and has adapted to the food I was feeding Pepper. He loves the big backyard that I have in my new home. He's such a sweetie pie. He hasn't had hardly any accidents since he has come. He is my guard dog. He follows me wherever I go. I am so glad he is part of my family now. I think Pepper would be lost without him now. And lastly, Oscar has put on weight! You can't see his ribs anymore. I have attached some pictures of Oscar and Pepper. I will keep you posted within the next few months on his progress. Thanks so much for everything! Oscar says hi and he misses you and the other dogs!!!"

Since we can't have children, everyone is acting like Toby (below) is my baby, HAHA. Oh man, he's surely going to be spoiled at Christmas! I couldn't resist sending these for possible success picture....

Patches (below) had a rough start to life - she had mange that resulted in losing patches of fur. Nobody would adopt her from Animal Services because of her appearance!!!! Here are a note and pics from her adopter: Roxie (was Patch) is just thriving, and she is turning out to be a great dog! She has mastered house training-- even barks at the back door to go out!! She is a little bit of a chewer, but nothing drastic yet--- she responds to verbal scolding -- in other words, she knows when she's been naughty!! She is still very affectionate, and very energetic!! She and Colin are truly "best friends" Thought you would like to see her growing up!
