Pictures of Success - Page 5

Andre (below; formerly Charlie) is doing great, and my cat is getting along with him quite well. At first I was worried that my cat would never come out of our room but that's all changed now. They're great pals. Andre gets to run unleashed in a huge area right next door everyday rain or shine, and with a few exceptions listens to "Come" when it's time to go inside. He can be pretty spastic sometimes but we always seem to just laugh it off!

I just wanted to pass along a few photos (below) that I have taken since I have had Jesse and my newest addition, Mollie.  Jesse is now named Baxter because I have a niece whose name is Jessica, and couldn't stand it if I had a boy dog with the same name as her!  Baxter has come a long way from having a sharp/shy personality.  He graduated obedience class a year ago and did really well, I am thinking about signing him up for an agility class, it gives him confidence and he has no problem jumping really high and moving really fast!  Also, now that he has an outgoing sister who isn't afraid of people helps him to be more comfortable around new friends and actually gives away a few kisses here and there to people that stop over. even to the veterinarian!  :)  I have learned so far that Baxter loves to "sing/howl" to singers on TV and distant police car sirens.  It is the funniest sight - he tries to mimic the sound he hears.  He has been an outstanding dog and really enjoys his new younger sister.  She outweighs him now but not by much, he weighs about 40 pounds.

Mollie graduates from her obedience class this Thursday and she has done very well.  She's the star of the class; she really seems to understand commands quickly and aims to please.  She will do anything for a piece of a hot dog!  Mollie is such a sweet dog. until Baxter comes around and then she loves to chase him around the house and make all kinds of noise.  She is 8 months old now and still has a lot of energy and that is just fine for Baxter, he loves to play and even antagonizes her as I have found that when he thinks I'm not looking he tries to get her to play.  They are perfect for each other and their opposite personalities really compliment one another and they get along so well. Thanks again to you and Kalamazoo Animal Rescue!

I got the holiday letter from KAR and it prompted me to remember to send you some adorable and some comical pictures of my baby! (See Molly below ...)

This really does my heart good.....These two dogs, Cindy and Mindy, were so overbred and had one terrible life from which they were rescued....but LOOK AT THEM NOW!!!  (Below ...)

Eddie loves all his toys (below). He gets along well and both Sammy Jo and Misty. He loved Christmas! Thank you!

I just wanted to update you on our baby, Mateo (see below) and send you some pictures.  We love him so much!  He has become particularly attached to my son and comes when he calls him.  We actually have a video of my son calling him, Mateo takes a running leap, attaches himself to my son's leg and climbs up his leg.  My son then picks him up and hugs and kisses him and then Mateo just wants down.  He's sooo funny! He sleeps under the comforter with my son.  When my son gets in bed, Mateo jumps up on the bed or cries until my son picks him up then he nudges his way under the covers and goes to sleep.  He sleeps all night now.  He doesn't sleep for the most part unless he's alone or we're all sleeping. He mostly just plays (he has many toys), jumps, runs and explores.  He's getting bigger every day. Thanks for everything!

This is Moxie and MoJo (below, formerly Knuckles and Keeper). Carly wanted a kitten for Christmas.  We snuck them into the house and put the two of them on her bed.  We told her that the dog was doing something cute on her bed and to come in to see it -- and when she did, there were the kittens!  Carly wasn't expecting TWO and was really surprised!

Here's Jazmine and Ginger (below), our recent fosters who were adopted. They look great and appear to have slimmed down considerably!
