- Put an ad in the Lost & Found section of the Kalamazoo Gazette. (269) 381-5100
Be sure to read the found ads and call on anything that sounds remotely similar.
- Visit area Animal Control shelters every day or two. Don't just call because a description of a pet is a subjective matter. The staff is overworked and not many are experts on breeds, colors and size. Visit Animal Control every few days - it could mean your pet's life.
- Call area vet clinics and ask if they have treated any found pets.
- Post flyers around the area you lost the pet.
- Place flyers on bulletin boards at the pet stores, Meijer, etc
- A tip from somebody whose lost cat returned - hang pillow cases, clothes, sheets, etc (items with your scent) outside your house so they can catch the breeze and help your cat smell where home is.
