With his black fur, classic yellow eyes, and "vampire fang" teeth, Cole is the perfect Halloween kitty. He prefers hard surfaces to lie on, such as our tables and bookshelves and the middle of our kitchen floor. He likes to sit next to you, not on top of you, and is very affectionate, asking for pets, belly rubs, and gentle head butts.

At night, Cole likes to explore and even joins us upstairs to tuck us into bed. He is very happy to see us in the morning, meowing a virtual symphony of greetings. He has adapted well to using a cat door in our breezeway and is perfectly trained to the litterbox. After cautious introduction, he gets along well with our dog Lucy, a Dachshund/Rottweiler mix (medium-sized).

Cole is a playful senior kitty and deserves to live out his retirement years in a furever home with plenty of attention and affection. If you would like to have a chat with this vocal gentleman, fill out the application now!

Dan W is his foster parent. The adoption fee for Cole is $40. If more than one cat or kitten is adopted the adoption fees are discounted, please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting Cole. A volunteer will contact you within approximately 48-72 hours.

All Kalamazoo Animal Rescue cats & kittens are spayed or neutered and feline leukemia tested prior to adoption. They also are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. All are given distemper vaccinations and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, a booster vaccine may be necessary after adoption which will be the responsibility of the adopter. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. Most cats and kittens are microchipped when they are spayed or neutered.
