Wishbone is a black and white kitten looking for his forever home with another kitten or playful young cat. He would love for his littermate, Pepé, to be his best friend for life. However, he would also be a good playmate for another young cat who needs a friend!
Looks:
- Black and white
- Greenish-yellow eyes
- Has a wishbone-shaped marking on his face (hence the name)
- Has a very cute “beauty mark” on his muzzle like Marilyn Monroe!
- He has a bigger, lankier frame than his brothers. He might grow up to be a big cat!
Personality:
Wishbone is a confident, playful kitten. He has tons of energy, and he would love for his new home to have lots of room to play chase and wrestle with his kitty playmate(s). He also loves toys all of kinds. Once he tires out, he likes to snuggle up with a fuzzy blanket and “make biscuits.”
Special traits:
- Wishbone recently discovered that he LOVES the cat wheel. He would be thrilled to have one in his forever home someday (his foster has warned him that they can be expensive, so he may have to wait)
- He has a tendency to pounce on people’s feet/ankles. He also has a mischievous streak and has wandered off with wash cloths! His foster is working on this with him, but his adopter should be prepared to “kitten proof” and redirect him to appropriate toys.
Likes:
- Roughhousing with his brothers (especially Pepe, who's closest to him in size)
- Cat wheel
- Feather toys
- Mouse toys
- Wand toys and hoodie strings
- Wet food
- Cat tunnels
Dislikes:
- Being separated from his brothers - once he realizes he’s alone, he’ll cry to be rescued, even if the reason he got separated is because HE jumped over the baby gate!
Handling Preferences:
- Wishbone is okay with being picked up, kissed, and snuggled!
- After play time, he likes to snuggle up next to you or his brothers for pets and make biscuits on a fuzzy blanket
Future Household:
- He has done well with the resident cats in his foster home, including respecting boundaries with the senior kitty.
- Wishbone hasn't met a dog or any kids yet, but he is a confident little guy. He would likely do well in a home with one or both after an adjustment period.
Background:
Wishbone and his littermates were born to a stray mama kitty in a local funeral home garage. A Good Samaritan was worried about the kittens coming to harm as they got bigger, so they were brought to KAR to get vaccinated, fixed, and placed in loving forever homes.
Brook V was his foster parent.
